Southwold

A while back during the Easter break from uni, I travelled home to Suffolk for a very brief family visit. It only lasted a few days – saw my Mum, went bowling, introduced my girlfriend to too many of my family, went for some walks along the beach, the usual. I’ve not got round to blogging these photos until now because of those pesky exam things – and, well, they’re not all that exciting.

This one, however, I really like. It’s of Southwold church, on a blisteringly cold and windy day – except, the sky is such a gorgeous blue you could mistake it for the height of summer. Plus, the lone seagull being almost pointed at by the tower helps, I think.

(For those of you who don’t know, Southwold is a very lovely little town a few miles south of Lowestoft, Britain’s most easterly point. It’s home to Adnam’s, a really great brewery. If you ever see Broadside in a pub, give it a taste.)
