All good things come to an end, and the life of a pet is no different.

Our eldest boxer, Susie, was put down on Tuesday after a good 13 years of life. I don’t have much more to say. She was a beautiful dog, and I have wonderful memories of running along the beach with her at all times of year – along the shingle beach at Pakefield during Summer, and even through snow on Lowestoft Beach during Winter, when dogs are allowed on.

Still, she had been ill for a while, and the time was right to say goodbye before her suffering became too great. These pictures on Flickr, unfortunately, are the last I have of her – I’ve not been home since Christmas, and will have missed her by less than a week when I go back tomorrow.
